So here we are: (l to r) 1st row: Sisters Brimhall, Goldthwaite, Frodsham, Brown and Sellers. 2nd row: Elders Maughan, Oliverson, Law, Carcel and Elder & Sister de Paula. 3rd row: Elders Caramia, Peterson, Alder and Lee (new district leader). Aren't they great? (click on the picture to make it bigger and/or save it)
Once in a while we get the urge and the time to throw something together for a little district meeting lunch. Today was one of those times. The missionaries are always so-ooo appreciative. They work so hard and have so little time and money that we like helping when we can. Maybe that's why we're referred to as Papa and Mama D.
We're really happy to get to know this new "family" that we already dearly love!

Reading your blog always makes me hungry. The food looks so good.
I will be finishing up grad school in May and just accepted a job at Vanderbilt in Nashville, TN. At least we will be in the same time zone as a few of the other Pences.
Yipee! Elder Maughan emailed home this past Monday and told us he was being transfered and he wouldn't know where until Tuesday. Torture for a mom not to know where her son is until the following P.day. I've learned to exercise great patience and greater faith over the past 11 months, all the while longing that he'd someday be with Elder and Sister dePaula because, even though I don't know them, . . . I LOVE THEM!!!! I was sitting here tonight wondering where Elder Maughan could possibly be and thankful that I'm not one of those moms that has to call the mission office to find out such information. I decided to log on and see how my favorite missionary couple is doing, when lo and behold, an answered prayer! And I didn't even have to wait until Monday! How fun to see him, and to see that smile that says, "I'm so happy, Mom, don't worry! I'm in (many) good hands! Bet you didn't know a smile could say so much, did you?! I even saw a little twinkle in Sister dePaula's eye that said something like, "Here you go mom, I know how important it is for you to see your son!" You'll never know, Sister dePaula, you'll never know! A million, gazillion thanks! You've made my day, quite possibly, my month! I'll just wait until Monday for all the details like who his companion is, etc. Also, I got your little thank you note. I'm glad you enjoyed the candy, that is if Elder dePaula was kind enough to share!! It was a small thing to do for such a great couple. Thanks for all the things that you do!
I love seeing pictures of missionaries--from any mission anywhere in the world. Your missionaries look as happy, spirited, and deeply committed as any in the world. How wonderful!
"Papa and Mama D," I loved your photo with all the missionaries in your zone. Everyone has such wonderful smiles---the Gospel truly brings happiness. Keep up the good work.
Keeping busy as always! Thanks for tips to help get my comments working again. I will try those and lets hope they work! Small world, sister Frodsham is my good friends little sister.
