"Bay Shore Ward Christmas Presentation"

We had a miracle at Church. The bishop asked Sister de Paula to put together a musical program for the Sacrament Meeting before Christmas. He wanted a choir. But we don't have a choir. So I got busy finding other numbers.

Two young single adult sisters, Daniela and Mareena, did "Away in a Manger" as flute and voice with ASL. Elder de Paula sang "O Holy Night." Sister Perryman, a young missionary played "Sheep May Safely Graze." Our reader, who said she would "try" to make it there on Sunday, did a very nice job. And yes, the choir did sing!

With two short practices and only half a dozen voices at each rehearsal, we sang. Many more people came up from the congregation the morning of the presentation, joined us and followed beautifully. The arrangements of "Angels We Have Heard on High" and "Silent Night" were simple, yet beautiful. The angels came to make a miracle happen in our little chapel that day.

There was a sweet spirit of peace and reverence in the chapel that Sunday, as well as expressions of joy to be able to hear music at Christmastime from members of the Bay Shore Ward. It was a blessing for everyone.
