"If you have not chosen the Kingdom of God first, it will in the end make no difference what you have chosen instead." -William Law, 18th Century EnglishTheologian
Teaching from James
We loved teaching the book of James. What a joy! Elder Bruce R. McConkie said - “This single verse of scripture has had a greater impact and a more far reaching effect upon mankind than any other single sentence ever recorded by any prophet in any age.”
What was that verse? James 1:5 - "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."
It changed our world!

Teaching from I Peter
One important principle we taught our students in our Institute classes is that Church leaders can help prepare us for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ and for eternal life if we humble ourselves, heed their counsel, and learn to trust in Heavenly Father.
This is especially comforting and timely in today's society. As we discussed I Peter 5:1-4 we were reminded that the Lord placed leaders over us to "feed the flock of God" "to oversee," "to watch, "to be examples to the flock."
How blessed we are to have living prophets in the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.
We are honored to be Nicole's parents. She is our third child of five - four girls and one boy. We have been retired for several years - Lin was a language consultant and Sharon was a music teacher. We met and graduated from BYU, raised a wonderful family and have served two missions in the last seven years for the LDS Church. We each sang for eighteen years with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. We love to be with family, love to travel and are grateful for every beautiful day on earth.
